Sound Deadening Material Paramat Sonic Shield
Many vehicle manufacturers do not provide sufficient sound deadening on sheet metal parts, mounting frames, panels and other components.
This reduces the sonic performance of aftermarket speakers due to resonance and vibration of those parts.
In addition, the rearward sound waves from the speakers are reflected, which compromises the overall sound.
Adequate sound deadening and damping optimises bass reproduction according to the speakers' quality, cleans up the midrange and improves the stereo staging.
Decoupling and contact damping of trim parts prevents the creation of unwanted noises.
The result is improved vehicle acoustics and a noticeable reduction of driving noise.

Paramat Sonic Shield is a unique product made with advanced composite materials and lightweight EPP fillers.
Despite its high thickness of 6 mm, the material remains pleasantly light. The integrated EPP beads in the butyl are highly tacky and absorb vibration effectively.
Sonic Shield additionally improves heat absorption while delivering superior damping performance.
The aluminium cover foil (0.1 mm) reinforces the vibration-damping effect.
